Authorities say they have disrupted major terror plot in Britain
A major terrorist plot to blow up aircraft midflight between Britain and the U.S. has been disrupted, police said today. Police made arrests overnight in London after a covert counter-terrorist operation lasting several months, police said in a statement. The British Broadcasting Corp. was reporting "about 18" had been arrested.
In response, the U.S. government raised its threat warning to the highest level for commercial flights from Britain to the United States early today and also stepped up the general level for all flights within the U.S. or entering the country.

EU rebuffs US call to put Hezbollah on terror list
The EU will not for the time being put the Islamist Hezbollah movement on its blacklist of terrorist organisations but the discussion could re-emerge in the future, the Finnish EU presidency has said. Finnish foreign minister Erkki Tuomioja declared after crisis talks with EU counterparts on Tuesday (1 August)
"Given the sensitive situation where we are, I don't think this is something we will be acting on now."
Europe's cowardly stance on Islamic terrorism saves it from a lot of trouble.
Or not.
The EU may not consider it a terrorist organistation, however there are a few European countries that do:

Anyways, does the world need another paper tiger like the EU to declare something? The EU hasn't a "stated" foreign policy. The signing of the constitution by the likes of France and Holland would have been needed to establish an EU office for that purpose.
Why European tax-payers even bother with claiming that they have a policy is what the EU does best: making bold statements without and tangible goals and letting them evaporate into the eather. Does anyone still remember the bold goals outlined in the Lisbon strategy?
Consdering how intensely the EU has busied itself with trying to resolve the Iranian Nuclear Bomb problem, you would think that they would be able to link A (Iran) to B (Hezbollah) and declare them a terrorist organisation. One doesn't need to be that bright to understand that the Lebonese rabbit hole resurfaces in Tehran.

FREEDOM IS NOT for FREE!
