Only that it wasn´t a former communist of East Germany, but a capitalist bank of West Germany who destroyed the monument.

@ fuchur:

Wake up pal. This would have never happened without the consent and political force of the Berlin city government. They are the ones who have the power to make the site a protected historic area or not. They are the ones who said the monument was like Disneyland and the wrong monument in the wrong location. They are the ones that pressed to have it removed. They are ultimately responsible, because the bank could have done nothing without them backing it.

@fuchur:

A government-owned bank is not capitalistic. And the main problem is that the SPD/PDS government of berlin does not want to be reminded of the wall at all.

I saw that today. Congratulations, David! That's a pretty big feather under your cap.

The BAG Hamm is not government-owned. (http://www.bankaktiengesellschaft.de/php_fe/index.php?ID=249) Sorry boys, often you have a point with your comments, but this "irresistable political pressure from the government"-idea is absolutely x-filish.

Bye,
Illic
