WASHINGTON—Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts gave the presidential campaign a jolt yesterday when he told Democratic donors in Florida he has met foreign leaders who want him to knock U.S. President George W. Bush out of the White House.Kerry mentioned no names, but a campaign spokesperson for Bush and U.S. Vice-President Dick Cheney immediately suggested the presumed Democratic nominee must have been talking about France.
"I've met foreign leaders who can't go out and say this publicly but, boy, they look at you and say: `You've got to win this, you've got to beat this guy, we need a new policy,' things like that," Kerry told 50 contributors at a Florida breakfast. The Kerry campaign couldn't point to a meeting he had with a foreign leader in the past year.
There's no doubt in my mind that the German media want Kerry. I mean, the guy has strong beliefs ("My opponent clearly has strong beliefs," Bush said in Houston. "They just don't last very long."), dark hair these days, and he loves France. Makes him the very copy of Gerhard Schroeder...

("My opponent clearly has strong beliefs," Bush said in Houston. "They just don't last very long.")Sort of like Schroeder's wives.

Kerry fails to back up foreign 'endorsements'
It seems like we have another guy who claims to have invented the internet...
