I am an American, I became great friends with a German couple, Reinhard and Katrin. They lived in Los Angeles for about 5 years. They come back and visit whenever they can.
Today, whenever there is an issue regarding the United States they call me to find out what is really going on. They have learned, espcially after living in the United States not to trust the German media.
