(By Ray D.)
Am I the only one who can't believe this? First the Zarqawi terrorists brutally murder Kenneth Bigley, and then his brother says Tony Blair, the one man in England doing his very best to defeat people like Zarqawi, has blood on his hands. Paul Bigley is selling his brother and every other victim of terror in Iraq out wholesale. He is encouraging the terrorists to commit further kidnappings and murders because the kind of pressure that his statements put Mr. Blair under. That is exactly what Zarqawi and his associates want.
It may be that he is blinded by sorrow, but that still doesn't excuse his actions. If we were to leave Iraq as he suggests, the terrorists would take over and do what they did to his brother to hundreds of thousands more victims. The only way to avoid that is to fight and defeat the barbarians that did this, not to act as their puppets while undermining those who seek to fight them.
We mourn for Mr. Bigley's loss, just as we mourn for all of the families whose loved ones have been murdered by terrorists. But let us be very clear on one point: The terrorists and those who collaborate with them are the only ones who have blood on their hands.
UPDATE: Of course: The other Bigley brother, Phil, who made a very reasonable statement regarding his brother's murder is being almost completely ignored in the German media. The only headlines are about Paul saying Blair supposedly has blood on his hands, I guess this will put Blair "under massive pressure" as usual. More of the rank bias we have come to expect from the failing German media...

You're correct Ray, but I'm willing to give him a pass on anything he says for at least the next few days. After weeks of being held (and holding headlines), his brother was brutally murdered in a public fashion. It might be that he's a moonbat, but it also has to be easy for him to misplace blame right now.

Hi Ray!
Don´t be shocked about Paul Bigley. Maybe he´s in an extraordinary mental state, maybe his sight is coloured through his usual political perspective (cant believe that he was a supporter of Tony Blair before the murdering of his brother).
The rest of the Bigley family (two more Brothers) gave a statement, that the British government did everything that could be done in that situation and that they mean, that the killing of Mr. Bigley was the plan of this crap Sarqawi since the first day of the abduction.
I think "Blood on his (their) hands" have also some media.
On ntv they had the news of the murdering of Mr. Bigley only to say that ´"the family (!!)" of Mr. Bigley said, that Tony Blair has blood on his hands. They dindn´t citate the statement of the rest of the family, but only that of brother Paul.
Neither did N24. They also had the news of the killing and the comment "the brother (not the brothers, which would be correct) of Mr. Bigley said that not only Zarqawi but also Tony Blair has blood on his hands".
Just to make this unhealthy connection between Blair and Zarqawi, they "forgot" to tell the rest.
So not only Zarqawi seems to be guilty but also Tony Blair.
Creating such an impression, they diminish the crime of Zarqawi and they put this power-addicted terrorist crap on the same level as an extraordinary good prime minister.
Through this, for me ntv and N24 have also "blood on their hands".
I think one should closely watch, which companies are advertising on ntv and N24, because I can´t believe, that every customer of both TV stations is satisfied with such a behavior.
Maybe one could draw their attention to the special preparation of the news on ntv and N24.
Greetings from Franz Hoffmann

Poor man. He was trying to save his brother's life any way he could. I can't blame him. Of course the people who do this have no mercy at all.
If they take you die with dignity as the Italian did. Spit in their eye.

@ Ray
I agree with Franz Hoffmann that the major outrage shouldn't be about Paul Bigley's behaviour but about the media coverage. Remember: It's the same journalists who reject the thought of showing images of the "beheadings" (which, in my eyes, would be a major shock to every viewer and could convince many people who prefer "nuance" to "manicheism" right now that there is indeed something that can be called "evil" out there) because this would be "helping the terrorists' cause", who are now reporting this story in a way that would make every terrorist proud.
Look at Spiegel Online today.
Terrorists kill dozens of tourists in a bloody massacre - SPON headline: "Revenge for Palestinian and Iraqi martyrs" (at least, they used quotation marks...)
Terrorists slaughter a British civilian - SPON headline: "Mr. Blair, you've got blood on your hands."
I can understand if Mr. Bigley is angry because of what has happened to his brother. I cannot understand why "sober" journalists can use this to write nasty stories about Blair / Bush etc. "under pressure" that do nothing but strengthen the terrorists' cause.
@ Gabi
Irgendeine amerikanische Agentur hatte gestern auch schon eine Meldung im Netz, daß Bush die Wiederwahl errungen habe. Das war aber offenbar wenigstens ein Versehen...

On a brighter note, the President just destroyed Kerry in the debate. Hurray :). A clear win for the President. Now watch the liberal media declaring it a draw or find excuses...

Yup - Kerry was pandering.
Don't be hard on Ray. When someone soil their own memory of a lost loved one by making political statements, one is very much selling out you memories of them. Bigley's brother just made light of his late brother's life, by making his death nothing more than a political matter.
What COULD Blair do if neither rescue of nogociation succeeded? Paul Bigley is speaking from his pain, which makes one extremely irrational, but for the sake of his brother's soul and memory, he will likely regret it.

the world has gone mad. This is a man who is watched his brother suffer. He tried so hard to battle against a system which could not or did not relent. Let him suffer his grief in peace. Let him be praised for his effort. He did no wrong. He only fought for his brother.
