(By Ray D.)
We never dreamed that ZDF, a major public German television network, would make itself look this ridiculous. For the second time in less than a week, the network has pulled a poll asking visitors to its website to vote for the next US President.
After pulling the poll the first time, ZDF reset it to zero votes and placed it back online. But that still did not get them the results they wanted and the results they expected: John Kerry did not have an overwhelming lead. So instead of just letting the poll run, ZDF silently removed it...AGAIN.
Is This the End for the ZDF Poll? Or is Another Comeback in Store?
Certainly, the following point (made by one of our readers) is worth making again: How would observers in the German media and on the left have reacted had FoxNews.com silently and without explanation removed a comparable poll showing John Kerry way ahead? They would have been absolutely outraged!
We encourage our readers to contact ZDF to ask them what the heck is going on with this poll. Just follow these steps:
1. Click HERE
2. Click on "Mail schreiben" under the "Kontakt" heading
3. Betreff = subject, Ihre Nachricht = your message, Vorname = first name, Name = last name, also enter your email address. The other fields are optional. To send click "absenden" at the bottom.
And, as always, stay tuned...
NOTE: Did you know (can you believe) that Germans pay a special tax for this? All German residents who own a radio and/or television are required to pay an extra tax every month known as "GEZ Gebühren." But that isn't all: GEZ bureaucrats are actually sent door to door nationwide to make sure that no one with a television or radio has failed to sign-up to pay the tax. The money goes to support leftist dominated public networks like ZDF.
